The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has received authorization from the Home Guard Headquarters, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, to enroll a total of 41,424 vacant posts of Home Guards across all districts of the state.

Home Guards enrolled for these vacant posts will be called for duty from time to time, and they will be provided a fixed duty allowance by the government.
Currently, for each day of duty performed, a Home Guard is paid Rs. 600/-.
Duty allowance and monthly honorarium may be revised by the State Government from time to time.
